How to add an AI receptionist to a WordPress site
You can add the Callopero AI receptionist to any WordPress site: self-hosted WordPress.org, or WordPress.com on a plan that allows plugins. You paste one line of code once, and the AI appears on every page with a talking avatar, a text chat or both.

Get your widget code
In the Callopero dashboard open Widget, choose your AI employee and enter your website domain, for example example.com (it also covers www.example.com). Click Create widget and copy the one-line code under JavaScript Embed.

Install a free code plugin
In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New, search for "WPCode", click Install Now and then Activate. The plugin keeps your code when you change or update your theme.

Paste the code into the footer
Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer, paste the code into the Footer box and click Save Changes. The code loads after your page, so it does not slow the page down.

Clear the cache
If you use a caching or optimization plugin (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, Autoptimize), clear its cache. If the plugin combines or delays JavaScript, exclude callopero.com/widget.js from it.

Check your site
Open your live website in a new window: the AI button appears in the bottom-right corner. Click it and talk to your AI receptionist. If the button is missing, check that the address in your browser matches a domain in the widget settings.

Do I need a plugin to add the AI receptionist to WordPress?
No, but it is the easiest way. A developer can paste the line into the theme's footer.php before </body>, but a theme update may remove it; a code plugin keeps it safe.
Will the AI widget slow down my WordPress site?
No. The script loads asynchronously and does not block your page. The avatar video starts only when a conversation starts.
Does it work with Elementor, Divi and other page builders?
Yes. Code added in the footer works with any theme and page builder. To show the AI on one page only, paste the line into an HTML or Code widget on that page instead.
