How to connect an AI receptionist to your business phone number

The AI phone receptionist answers calls on your own business number, 24/7, in your customers' language. It takes requests, qualifies callers, saves leads and can transfer a call to a person. You keep your number and your phone provider — the calls are connected to Callopero through SIP, a standard every business phone provider supports.

   Create a phone operator

   In the dashboard open Phone Operators → New. Write what the operator does, its greeting and instructions, and choose its language and voice. It uses the same knowledge base as your website AI.

   Connect your phone system

   Open Telephony → Connect your phone system and enter the SIP details from your phone provider: SIP server, username, password and your phone number. Your provider's support can give you these details — ask for a "SIP trunk".

   Route the calls

   Set your provider to send calls for that number to the SIP address shown in the dashboard. Depending on your provider, you can send all calls, only after-hours calls, or calls nobody answered.

   Set working hours and transfers

   Choose working hours and what happens outside them (answer, take a message or offer a call back). Add a human transfer number: the AI connects the caller to your staff when they ask for a person or when the caller is ready to buy.

   Make a test call

   Use the test call button to talk to your operator from the browser, then call your number from a phone.
